Utah Crater, Midway (20 minutes)
An easy drive from Park City, Utah Crater at Homestead Resort is a geothermal spring tucked inside a 55-foot-tall limestone dome. With the water reaching a depth of 65 feet and a toasty average temperature of 95°F, it’s the only warm water scuba destination in the continental U.S. Visitors can swim, snorkel, scuba dive, enjoy a therapeutic soak and try stand-up paddleboard yoga here. Reservations are required.Â
Crystal Hot Springs, Honeyville (1 hour)
Boasting the highest mineral content of any hot spring in the world, Crystal Hot Springs blends healing properties, family-friendly fun and modern amenities. Enjoy three jetted hot tubs, a soaking pool, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and water slides. The complex is open year-round and does not require reservations, but there is a daily fee.Â
Fifth Water Hot Springs, Springville (1.5 hours)
Reachable via a scenic 4.5-mile, round-trip hike through Diamond Fork Canyon, these turquoise pools of varying temperatures sit amongst cascading waterfalls. This thermal sanctuary is a satisfying reward and true immersion into Utah’s beauty and adventure. No reservations are required, though a parking fee applies at the trailhead.Â

Meadow Hot Springs, Fillmore (2 hours)Â
Featured on the cover of our Summer 2025 issue, these vivid blue mineral pools sit on private land near the town of Fillmore. The three pools stay warm year-round, with clear, deep water ideal for soaking or snorkeling. The most temperate pool is home to a variety of tropical fish. No reservations are needed, but a donation and respectful behavior are essential to keep this hidden gem open for all.

Mystic Hot Springs, Monroe (3 hours)
Set against a rustic desert backdrop, Mystic Hot Springs is an oasis featuring two soaking pools and five vintage cast-iron tubs filled with mineral-rich geothermal waters at temperatures around 100°F. It’s a favorite for catching sunsets, views of the Milky Way and even live music. A variety of accommodations are available if you wish to extend your stay. Reservations are required.
