DESCRIPTION:Join Kimball Art Center for an afternoon of fun at the museum for the Exhibition Opening of the annual Wasatch Back Student Art Show\, featuring artwork by students of all ages from Kindergarten to 12th grade in Summit and Wasatch counties who have been invited to create work around a common theme: Earthen Forms. \n\nIn addition to exploring student artwork\, enjoy snacks and hands-on art activities—including a collaborative clay sculpture and individual take-home projects! \nThis year\, the Wasatch Back Student Art Show will be showcased alongside Traces\, an exhibition featuring groundbreaking artists who redefine ceramics as a medium for social\, cultural\, and material exploration. Inspired by the concurrent exhibition\, local students were invited to reflect on its themes\, drawing connections that sparked their own creativity. The result—deeply imaginative and thoughtful works of art that showcase their unique perspectives. \nThe exhibition will be on display from March 7 – May 18.
